The 7th Annual Veterans Car Show presented by
the Down Shifters of Brooklyn is in the History Books!
The show was held on the beautiful grounds of the Bay Pines Hospital in
St. Petersburg, Florida.
One
of the largest if not the largest car show on the West Coast of Florida was
a huge success thanks to people like John Bader, of
Advance Auto Parts, Troy & George from
Biff Burger and Buffy's Bar-B-Q, Joe Campoli
of The Campoli Law Group, Taylor Andrews from
Dayton Andrews Dodge, Cars & Rods Car
Club, Jerry Mullins from Mullins Concrete
Pumping,American- Icon PPG Paint,Gieco
Insurance, and Doug Morgan of Manatee-Metro
Ice.Lance did the honors of being our Master of Ceremonies, and
Flashback provided the music. The biggest thank you
is to the participants and spectators. We appreciate
your attendance and hope you had a good time. We want you to know that the
money raised by this show is given to the Veterans Recreational Fund for use
by the veterans who don't get to leave this hospital. You have asked these
men to do a job and secure your freedom, they have responded and have given
of themselves to accomplish this task. They have served in World War II,
Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, and now Iraq, they have sacrificed, their
families have sacrificed, and today was your opportunity to welcome them
home and thank then for a job well done. Well thank them you did as you all
dug deep and gave from your heart $17,547.00
