Hey, Greg
My name is Don Walsh and I used to live in Brooklyn. I met some of you guys at the Treasure Island Car Show. I was in the 'Road Gents Hot Rod Club - also there in Brooklyn, Flatbush to be exact. We generally operated out of 'Trestle Custom' on Ave H and E 40th Street. I was totally taken back by your show at the Veteran's Hospital. The layout was superb, the cars were great - I only recognized a few from other shows. The activities by your club were just first class. Plus the variety of tents and other features were outstanding. So it wasn't a total surprise to hear from the stage that the DownShifters of Brooklyn won that award for 'Outstanding Club' in the Region. After attending the show, all I can say is congratulations on a super event by a super club and the award surely is deserved. And as a side note, it's nice to know your club came from Brooklyn!!! Best of luck with your organization in the future.
